Great Product

About Me

Simple and works. I just replaced my old TICKRX after 6 years of service and two phones. Only wish you had a site online that I could sync data too. Also, wish I could put a workout note with work out. Ex. Indoor tread mill = miles. Weights, lbs and reps. Should not be that difficult. I have a polar too and like how polar bear and flow sync. Killer app would be to include note section applicable to each work out and a Wahoo platform.

Works as advertised - no phone - no problem

About Me

Comments:

I lost my other heart monitor and found this one. The functionality is as simple as it get. Connect your phone to the device and then every time you put the monitor on you're phone starts displaying your stats. No phone, no problem. Snap the monitor on in and it begins recording and the workout shows up on the phone the next time you're connected to the phone.

It solved a problem.

About Me

Comments:

I recently had rotator cuff surgery. I wanted to maintain my fitness on a trainer but could not put on a chest heart rate monitor. The TICKR HR Monitor solved the problem. It paired immediately with my Garmin 810 and voila, it works....problem solved. The little magnet charger works perfectly to keep the HR charged...really ingenious.

This thing is super accurate and never drops out. The lights are a nice feature so you know it's working before you fire up the computer. Selling my other monitors if you're interested ;)

About Me

Comments:

This is pretty similar to the TICKR's I've owned, (devices that I loved!). I was intrigued to try the TICKR X because of the stand alone uses of it. (DOn't need to carry the iPhone with me etc. It's the same size, fits the same way etc so overall I'm pretty happy with it. And I do like that it connects well to the Wahoo 7-minute fitness app. TWO THINGS TO NOTE: A) It takes much longer to connect to my phone, in fact I had to contact Wahoo support about this a few times. Now, before I use it, I have to launch the Wahoo Utility App to make sure it's connected via Bluetooth (which is a helluva hassle, and something I never had to do with my cheaper TICKRs). More steps in the process. B) the ability to "tap" the device is a two edged sword. During Wahoo 7-minute app use, I like that it will track my cadence or rep count. But I generally don't listen to music during a workout and when I'm doing things like benchpress, the bar will often "tap" thedevie (which is a chest strap device), and turn on the music which breaks into my "zone" and I lose my pace. HIGHLY IRRITATING that I cannot disable this aspect of the device. Had I to known all of the above I would probably just have stuck with my TICKR. (Which is still in perfect condition and connects far, far quicker to my phone). Anyway, I'll hold onto it as a backup.

Great ergonomics and comfortable, good HR pickup

About Me

Comments:

This is probably my 6th HRM. I particularly like several features compared to my Scoschi arm HRM and multiple Garmin HRMs. For one, it is comfortable. Also it is easy to snap closed once around me (older folks who need reading glasses know it can be tough to get the Garmin hooked through the sleeve. No spurious beats as of yet. I have not ridden under high tension power lines yet so I don't know how it will handle those. Finally, if you live in a Wahoo ecosystem, it works so so well with the Element Bolt.
